What can I wear? The question starts early, and often children have strong opinions about what they want to wear. BCNS encourages parents to give children some choice in picking clothes, but to help in the decision making process by talking about the weather, the temperature and what the school activities involve.
School activities are often messy, and although smocks are provided, a child’s best clothes are best left at home. Footwear should be suitable for indoor and outdoor active play and should include boots on rainy or snowy days. Children will be taken outside to play unless it is actively raining or snowing, the temperature (plus wind chill) is below freezing or if frozen snow/ice surfaces makes the playground unsafe. Please make sure that your child has clothes that allow him/her to participate. All children will be asked to leave a change of clothes at school.
